Council will then provide written confirmation of the applicable barrier standard. This information is important as it allows us to assess the barrier against the correct requirements.
A qualified True Blue Pool Inspector attends your property and conducts a thorough inspection of your pool or spa barrier using the information provided by your local council.
The inspection involves assessing the barrier against the applicable safety requirements and relevant Australian Standards, including the condition and operation of gates, fences, barriers, latches and other safety components.
You will be issued a Certificate of Barrier Compliance (Form 23).
We will provide you with a detailed report clearly identifying the areas requiring attention and explaining the rectifications required to help bring your barrier into compliance.
Our aim is to make the process straightforward, with clear advice so you understand exactly what needs to be addressed.
Once your pool or spa barrier has passed inspection and a Certificate of Barrier Compliance (Form 23) has been issued, the certificate must be lodged with your local council within the required timeframe.
This completes the certificate lodgement process and helps ensure you remain compliant with your obligations as a pool or spa owner.
